BCGT will be showing a recorded webinar from SENG (Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted). Superachiever or Underachiever --
Parents and Teachers Make the Difference by renowned
psychologist and gifted educator Dr. Sylvia Rimm is the topic. More information about this webinar is available
here. We will be serving coffee and having a discussion about this topic
following the viewing. This event is free to all parents. Join us for this event in the Zimmerman room at the Barrington Library!

BCGT Science Night
 Our
Annual Science Night - Discovering the Importance of
Science in Everyday Life with Science Consultant Susan Lenz. She will be facilitating a
hands-on discussion of science experiments including
parachutes, spinning tops, golf ball towers and other
interesting projects. Space is limited to 75 participants.
Advance registration is recommended. This event is free to
BCGT members and $5 per child/$10 per family for non

 Join
our children's book club for students in Grades 5 through 8. Extended self-contained teacher
Georgia Nelson will be leading the discussion. We will be serving milk and cookies and talking about the International Bestseller
Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys.

BCGT Presents:Best Practices in Gifted Education
 We welcome parents to join
join us for this free presentation by Julie Luck Jensen, the Director of Extended Services in District 220, along with other District 220 extended teachers.
Georgia Nelson and Maggie Gruber (Extended
Self-contained), April Wells (Extended Resource, Sunny Hill), Patti Haney (Extended Resource, Hough) and Lori Ford (Enrichment Instructional Specialist) will be sharing what they have learned in the recent NAGC (National Association for Gifted Children) and IAGC (Illinois Association for Gifted Children) conferences.

BCGT Game Night
 One of our most popular events of the year -
Come join the fun! The event will kick off with pizza and refreshments and then families can enjoy an evening of games such as Apples to Apples, Scrabble, Boggle,
Chess or whatever games you love playing. Chess
Grandmaster and current Illinois Chess Champion Mesgen
Amanov and some of his colleagues will be joining us!
